Overview

Umlingla is a high mountain pass located in the Ladakh region of India. It is The highest motorable pass in the world, with an elevation of 19,300 feet (5,883 meters) above sea level. The pass is located in the Changthang region of Ladakh, which is known for its barren and rugged terrain, high-altitude lakes, and unique wildlife such as the Tibetan wild ass (Kiang) and the Himalayan wolf.

The road to Umlingla Pass is a challenging one, with narrow and steep roads that require a high level of driving skill and experience. The pass is open only for a few months of the year, usually from June to September, due to heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions during the winter months.

Umlingla Pass is not only a popular destination for adventure enthusiasts but also serves as an important strategic location for the Indian Army due to its proximity to the border with China. Itinerary
  • Welcome to Ladakh extending from the Glacier to the main Great Himalayas, Ladakh is a land like no other. Your adventure starts with your arrival at Leh Airport. Leh is the capital and largest town of Ladakh, Tripacation Team will meet you at the airport and drive you to the hotel to check-in.
  • Today is set aside to allow you to settle in and rest up before we start tomorrow to explore stunning landscapes and roads. By afternoon our Supported Team leader will meet you at the hotel and brief you about the Trip. You will get your Bikes at the hotel.

  • Today’s ride will be around 90 km.

  • After a relaxing breakfast, we will visit Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, and the Hall of fame (A museum in memory of the brave Indian soldiers). Sangam Point is the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar river.
  • Evening visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace and Leh Market.

  • We ride through the epic Khardung-La Pass (17,982 feet) one of the highest motorable roads. The valley is known for its sand dunes with white rolling sands and the sight of the double-humped Bactrian Camels. Diskit Monastery, the monastery has a 33m statue of Maitreya Buddha facing down the shayok river.
  • You can go for adventure activities at Nubra valley as it is the hub for adventure activities, you can do ATV bike rides, Zipline, Rafting, Go karting and Double humped camel ride.
  • Overnight stay at Swiss camp in Hunder.
  • We will ride towards Pangong Lake via Shayok Route (eastern Ladakh ), on the border with China.

  • The real beauty of Pangong lake will observe on this day. In chushul, we will visit the Rezang La war memorial. Hanle has a lovely Monastery offering some great aerial views of the whole village that is home to about 1000 people with an altitude of 4500 Mtrs. The Hanle Observatory is operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru and is currently the second-highest optical observatory in the world, with an installed telescope of about 2.01 meters (6.5 feet) diameter.

  • Umling La is a mountain pass in Ladakh, India on the ridgeline between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River near Demchok. At an elevation of 5,640 metres, it forms the source for the Umlung stream that drains into the Indus and a tributary of the Kiungdul river that drains into Koyul Lungpa.
  • Overnight stay at Hanle (Homestay).

  • On the way, you can explore Chumathang (Hot Spring ), Thiksay Monastery and Rancho School. Lunch break at upshi village.

All payments for the package cost must be made by the customer to the company in accordance with the procedure and time frame mentioned below.

Minimum of 25% of the total land package is to be paid at the time of booking.

Remaining total land package before the departure date.

For Air Tickets, 100% of the payment for flight tickets at the time of booking.

For booking confirmation, need to pay 25% amount in Tripacation account by Cheque/Cash/Net banking in our company account. Remaining amount should be paid before departure.

In order to cover our expected loss from the cancellation of the booking below is set the scale of charges which must be paid by the traveller.

20 % of the total package cost will be charged as a cancellation amount 30 or more days before your travel date.

40% of the total package cost will be charged as a cancellation amount between 20 to 30 days before your travel date.

60% of the package cost will be charged as a cancellation amount between 10 to 20 days before your travel date.

100% of the package cost will be charged as a cancellation amount less than 10 days before your travel date.

The cancellation Policy is subject to change. It purely depends upon the cancellation policy of the respective hotels. In Peak seasons, Some hotels may charge 100% cancellation. Refunds normally take 12 working days after the cancellation request has been raised & transferred electronically to your bank account
